Nokia E71 reviews

by Jon Thompson on July 22, 2008

While I still have not posted a review of the iPhone 3G, or my thoughts on whether or not it is a useful tool for the aid community (I do!), I have already stated that Nokia phones enjoy massive penetration within the aid community and therefore deserve a lot of air time.

Matthew Miller has an extensive review of the new Nokia E71 over at his ZDNet blog site, The Mobile Gadgeteer.  As do the folks over at Engadget Mobile who took that pic up top.  If you are a gadget person you’ll love all the info.

With A-GPS, a QWERTY keyboard and quad band GSM what is there not to love about the E71?  I did hear some very mixed reviews of previous incarnations of this phone (fragile, weak volume levels, etc.) from some of my fellow field folk but perhaps they have sorted out these issues in latest version. My old Nokia E70 is still the greatest phone I have ever owned so I’ve got a sweet spot for this series.
