Explore.org

by Jon Thompson on July 13, 2009

Now that my family is back in the Balkans I’ve got some time on my hands and my evenings are free.  I have started working on resurrecting this blog (Upgrading to Thesis Theme 1.5.1) and pulling together some legitimate posts.

I came across Explore.org a few days ago and I have been watching their video content which is well put together and easy on the eyes and ears.  I especially like their ‘Still Stories’ which are multi-image shows cut with some great audio.  Check out Jackson Hole episode – my uncle would love it:

Funded by the Annenberg Foundation, Explore.org highlights the work of the humanitarian organizations they fund. They have covered a variety of orgs in numerous locations around the world and it looks like they have been shooting for quite a while.  The content is solid, clean and well produced and best of all they make it easy to share, embed, etc. I would like to get them out with us in a few locations to see what we’re all about.

If more organizations produced content like this the world would be a better place in no time at all. Watch the video and enjoy the Moby-esque tunes.
