WIRED’s Epicenter has a story on the new Yahoo-Twitter news mashup – TweetNews. Yahoo BOSS engineer Vik Singh created the mashup using only one hundred lines of code. Simplicity at it’s best. (FYI – If you search ‘Gaza maps’ the third Tweet down in the first search result (at least right now) links back to a story I did a week or so ago.) The article goes on to claim that by searching for news this way you can beat Google’s algorithm and actually follow the news as it’s Twittered. If you know what you’re looking for should probably be able to pick up some pretty good material for your posts.
